Lydia Su, MA, MS, NCC, LPC.
Licensed Professional Counselor
I believe every person’s journey is unique and deserves compassion, understanding, and support. Life transitions, losses, or unresolved pain can stir up intrusive thoughts, overwhelming emotions, and patterns that feel confusing or hard to change. My goal as a counselor is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore these experiences, gain insight into the roots of your struggles, and develop practical tools for growth, healing, and resilience.
I am passionate about helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma (including family trauma), relationship challenges, life transitions, and matters of spirituality. I specialize in trauma-informed, integrated counseling using an eclectic, evidence-based approach tailored to each client’s needs. I draw from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and attachment and developmental frameworks, integrating strategies that promote meaningful, lasting change. For clients who desire it, I also offer biblical or faith-informed counseling, weaving spiritual perspectives into the therapeutic process.
I respect all faiths and cultures and strive to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment for every client. My diverse work and life experiences enhance my ability to counsel and inform my culturally responsive approach, honoring clients’ unique backgrounds, identities, and beliefs. In our work together, I aim to create a warm, empathetic, and trusting alliance where you feel truly seen and heard. Together, we will identify your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and create a space for healing, growth, and transformation.
