Olivia Campbell,
Intern Mental Health Counselor.
Olivia is a mental health counseling intern and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process and strives to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable being themselves. Olivia works to meet each client where they are and recognizes that every person brings their own unique experiences, values, and strengths into the therapeutic process.
Olivia takes a person-centered and strengths-based approach, incorporating other approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as needed to fit the client’s needs. She recognizes that every client’s experiences and goals are different and tailors her approach to meet each individual’s needs. She believes that her clients are the experts in their own lives and aims to help them recognize their strengths, develop practical skills, and work toward the changes they want to make.
Outside of counseling, Olivia enjoys cooking and baking, reading, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her family, friends, and cat. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new places and activities whenever she gets the opportunity.
