Tessa Valeu, LSW

Licensed Social Worker

Certified First Responder Therapist

Life can be unpredictable at times, feeling as though there is no way out of the mess, we’re in. I’m here to help any individual wanting to learn new and healthy ways to deal with what life throws at them. Together, we can find strength and courage within tackling these challenges.

I specialize in supporting men from all walks of life who are seeking an unbiased person to tackle what life has thrown at them. I work supporting adults, young adults, and teens who are struggling with anxiety and/or depression. Learning and applying several therapeutic approaches, such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, they often come to understand that itis okay (and natural) to express all the emotions in a healthy manner.

When working with clients, I strive to help them see that while it may be initially nerve wracking to confide in a new person, therapy can become a highly beneficial part of their lives. My hope is that each person who comes into my office feels welcome and safe. I see my office as my clients’ space to share what they feel is most important in their life at the time they walk through the door.

“Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are.”
